The brief
Diamonds & Pearls needed a new store at Springs Mall that would do justice to its jewellery and watches. In a jewellery store the products are small and the detail is everything, so the space had to show every piece in the best possible light while making it easy and comfortable for customers to browse, ask and buy.
What we did
We developed the concept, design and layout for the 280 m² store, working through the lighting, the displays, the use of space and the way customers move through it.
- A fully glazed shopfront that turns the whole store into a display window for passing mall traffic.
- Illuminated glass display cabinets lining the walls, each lit so that the jewellery catches the light.
- Crystal chandeliers and dark feature finishes that add a sense of luxury without competing with the products.
- A bright white service counter with seating, so customers can take their time over a purchase.
- An open floor that leads customers from the entrance, past the displays, to the counter.
The result
A bright, elegant store where the jewellery is the hero. The lighting, displays, space and flow of the customer experience work together to strengthen the Diamonds & Pearls brand, and the new store made a positive impact on sales.
